Huh. I'm not sure whoever wrote the article knows anything about Buddhism. The problem is that these ideas just don't easily translate, even for people who make this a lifelong study. But i work with a Tibetan Buddhist, and I'm pretty sure she would never say those sorts of things about the Dalai Lama.

As for the sex-trouble: fortunately, just like Christianity, if you don't like Tibetan Buddhism, you can always pick another kind!

I don't make any claims for the author of the article knowing much of anything (heck, I don't know much about Tibetan Buddhism either, but even I know those statements are dubious); I'm just amused imagining the reactions of the trendoids.
